Every Fall, on the second weekend of November, Southern Campaign 1780 hosts hundreds of 18th C. merchants, demonstrators, and military reenactors who gather at The Meeting Place in Kershaw, SC for the annual Battle of Camden Reenactment Weekend. The kickoff for the weekend is our Liberty Live Education Day.
During our Friday event, area students, parents, & teachers spend the morning engaging in various aspects of colonial and military life to become better connected with individuals and events that played vital roles during our fight for independence. This FREE event is open to all public, private, home school students.
Liberty Live encourages you to walk in the footsteps of our ancestors by
immersing yourself in the lives and daily activities of colonial backcountry
inhabitants, as well as militia, Continental, and British soldiers. Through exploring the lives of indigenous, immigrant, enslaved, and indentured populations and engaging with different members of the colonial populace, you will consider their intrinsic and extrinsic reasons for either remaining loyal to the British Crown or
supporting the cause of becoming a free and independent nation.
Sign-up below to participate in our 3rd annual Liberty Live Education Day event. November 11, 2022 9:00am - 1pm EST.
Liberty Live events offer lectures and demonstrations centered on Backcountry and Soldier Life and First Person Persona presentations.
Cooking demos, soap making, candle dipping, cloth dying, and cannon live-fire are just a few of the programs that can be customized to enhance your event needs.
