*We are still finalizing our planning for the 2023 reenactment. There are several sections marked TBD, to be determined. However once our details are set in stone, this website will be updated.
Battle of Camden Revolutionary War Reenactment is the largest force-on-force Rev. War reenactment in the nation. It has previously been held in Camden for the past 49 years but four years ago the event moved to a more pastoral location between Camden and Kershaw, SC., 1.4 miles away from North Central High School,
giving us room to grow and a larger and better site for reenactors and guests alike.
After the move, we achieved national status design nation from The Continental Line. Our annual event is held on the second weekend in November and is composed of two events, Education Day (Friday) and Open to Public Days, (Saturday and
Sunday).
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit. Proceeds from our annual event support our year-round educational programs through Liberty Live. Parking is free. No Pets Allowed.

EDUCATION DAY (Friday Nov. 10, 2023) 9am to 1pm.
Education Day is by invitation only. Liberty Live, Southern Campaign 1780’s education program, organizes this day. To inquire about receiving an invitation, you must be a school, (public, private, homeschool), who will bring adult accompanied students and attend FREE of CHARGE for students and chaperones.
We set up educational stations students can visit round robin. Participating Reenactors, Demonstrators, and Merchants volunteer to set up before the weekend to provide expertise to pupils on Education Day.
If you have questions about attending as a school, contact: sdavis@sc1780.org.
If you have questions about running an educational station as a demonstrator, merchant, contact beth@sc1780.org.
If you have questions about running an educational station as a reenactor, contact ericknason@msn.com.
Our Battle event is in the fields and woods with no paving, so access may be limited to some. That said we do have some golf-cart shuttles with volunteer drivers who can accommodate people with limited mobility. Limited bleacher seating will be available on a first come, first serve basis. The bleachers are adjacent to the battlefield. Personal seating may be brought in. Handicapped parking is available on site.
PLEASE fill out the online forms on this website to register. If you are interested in participating in Education Day, please indicate this on your registration form.
